Child Support

Chicago Child Support Lawyers

Illinois law mandates that both parents have a duty to contribute to the support of their children and further provides statutory guidelines for determining the percentage of income one parent should pay for child support to the parent with who the children primarily reside. However, the court does have the discretion to set child support above or below guidelines and to direct a parent to contribute additional sums for a child’s other expenses, such as medical or educational expenses, if circumstances of a case require it.

The attorneys at Touloupakis Aguirre LLC are very experienced in handling child support matters and are knowledgeable in determining not only guidelines child support but also in presenting to the court evidence supporting a variance from the guidelines based on the children’s needs and each parents’ ability to pay support.
