Spousal Support -Maintenance (formerly known as alimony)

Maintenance is support paid by one spouse to the other spouse after the dissolution of their marriage.

Maintenance awards are not granted by the court in every case and, if granted, will vary in amount and duration, depending on a number of statutory factors. Both seeking maintenance for a client and opposing payment of maintenance to a client’s spouse require thorough preparation and the ability to persuasively argue for or against a maintenance award with the court.

The attorneys at Touloupakis Aguirre llc are knowledgeable in developing and presenting the necessary evidence for settlement negotiations or for trial to effectively argue the client’s position on maintenance.
